As Autumn has arrived, I've looked back to find that my 2011 Summer's greatest gain was learning how to swim. I've always had the greatest envy for little fish, seeing how they can be so free, effortlessly making their life in the water. Yet since time when I was a child, I have feared water. Looking at the deep, I would forget the safety of the shallow waters and my heart pounded with fear. Still, by mustering the greatest courage, I began my swimming lessons. The very beginning of my efforts were by far the most difficult: I couldn't bear to put my whole body underwater; I was too nervous, terrified even. My friend patiently instructed me, guiding me with unremitting commitment, trading the effort for my first gasp, my first stroke, my first ten meters, twenty meters...although by the end of the Summer I can only claim to be a novice swimmer, I've found in my heart a sense of vast accomplishment!
